Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Implement and manage production schedules to meet customer demands. Coordinate activities across departments to ensure smooth operations. Optimise resource allocation (personnel, equipment, materials) for maximum efficiency. Monitor and adjust production workflows to address bottlenecks or delays. Analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction. Conduct root cause analysis of issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of supervisors and production staff. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork. Train and mentor team members, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality standards. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with organisational health and safety standards. Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses. Quality Assurance: Uphold the company's quality principles and standards. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Reporting & Administration: Prepare and manage production reports and related administrative tasks. Communicate effectively across departments to maintain transparency and alignment. Qualifications & Experience: Trade Test Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Production Manager role within the manufacturing industry. Strong background in batch manufacturing, ideally within the glass or plastic sector. Skills & Competencies: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong organisational and planning abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
