Production Manager - Food Manufacturing

RPO Recruitment is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing company based in Cape Town to find a dedicated and experienced Production Manager.
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production operations and ensuring the efficient manufacturing of food products.
In this role, you will manage a team of production staff, monitor production processes, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and quality.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement production plans, ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities: Manage and lead the production operations Monitor and control production processes to meet quality and quantity targets Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement production plans Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards Identify areas for process improvement and implement cost-saving measures Supervise and train production staff Maintain production records and reports Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards (HACCP, ISO) Experience in implementing process improvements and lean manufacturing principles Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet production targets Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as required Proficiency in MS Office and production management software Benefits Salary negotiable Training & Development RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
