This role will report into the: General Manager Main Purpose of the Role: To manage the entire production process, ensuring that specifications are followed and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice) are adhered to at all times.
To meet all customer product requirements (order quantity and quality).
Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: Production Management or related Degree or Diploma, Postgraduate qualification is high advantageous!Must have an understanding of food manufacturing and production5 Years relevant production management experience gained in the food manufacturing industry6-8 Years experience gained within the FMCG/ food manufacturing working industry Knowledge of technical process and principles would be advantageousKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methodologies would be advantageousProven financial acumen and budgetary management expertiseSolid report writing and presentation skillsProficiency in MS Office, with strong MS Excel capabilitiesExperience with PowerBI would be advantageousValid drivers license and own reliable transport preferredKey Duties and Responsibilities: Planning and Organisation Ensure proper and accurate production planningLiaise with technical and maintenance departments to ensure optimal performance of the production functionResource Management/Allocation Ensure optimum use of production resourcesMaintain proper functioning of manufacturing equipmentLead and manage the various teams to produce results in line with customer expectationsLead and manage the productions teams ensuring optimal performanceSupervise, mentor and motivate the respective teamsManage employee conduct according the companys Code of Behavior and take appropriate action where deviations occurConduct and lead regular team meetings ("Lets Talk"), at level 3Administration/Reporting Maintain all documentation required for due diligence.Maintain accurate traceability throughout the production processProduction Management Ensuring all orders are produced in fullEnsuring all lines are producing at the required efficiency ratesProactively managing product yields; maintain waste within the requirement targetsRisk and Compliance Maintain all relevant company policy requirementsComply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirementsEnsure compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest controlParticipate in personal hygiene checksEnsure compliance to all food safety legislation and regulations, organizational food safety management system requirements.To apply for this role, please forward a detailed copy of your CV to
