National Packaging Company - Production ManagerThe national packaging company is looking for a Production Manager with experience in the FMCG/packaging industry for their Pinetown plant.Annual Remuneration:To R1.2mil (neg) plus bonus/esCompetencies:Degree: Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering preferredExperience: 5+ years in FMCG/packaging/continuous manufacturing productionManagement: 3+ years Production/Unit Management experienceAdvantageous: Plastic injection and/or blow moulding experienceStandards: Familiar with FSSC or ISO9001Skills: Intermediate experience in Excel and working with numbers/spreadsheetsCharacteristics:Self-motivated, energetic, and able to motivate and empower a teamAble to make tough decisions and manage complexityExcellent communication and proven track record of managing a production teamStrong sense of urgency, enjoys hands-on roles, and being on the floorKey Performance Areas:Managing production staff to ensure a motivated and high-performing teamManaging all machine and plant maintenanceMachine efficiencies of < 85%Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developmentsEstablishing budget for mould expenses and equipment, including controlling consumable costsControlling spares usage and costsPartnering with Quality to maintain standards according to FSSC and ISO systemsOverseeing and assisting with training of production staffWorking with HSE for a safe working environment and adherence to safety proceduresEnsuring proper housekeeping and adherence to the dress codeContact:Scott - 0117041302#J-18808-Ljbffr
