Production Engineer

Job description Description of the position Production engineers are responsible for supervising and improving production at plants and factories. They support engineering teams, draw up safety protocols, report issues to the manager, and develop strategies to improve efficiency and profit.

Tasks related to this position include but are not limited to · Plan, manage and oversee production

· Analyse and assess current production methods

· Develop and improve production processes

· Enhance productivity of machinery and workers

· Condition which machinery will be used and positioned in the facility

· Follow specifications of products and quality control measures

· Train, supervise, and manage production staff and schedules

· Ensure the production line is adequately staffed

· Expedite the efficiency of processes

· Ensure all steps of production run efficiently

· Develop and implement quality assurance measures

· Educate employees to operate machinery using the correct methodology

· Diagnose breakdowns and troubleshoot problems

· Supervise technicians to maintain equipment

· Work within set budgetary plans for the project

· Design and implement cost-reductive changes

· Follow all health and safety rules and regulations

· Communicate with clients and venders to obtain materials and equipment needed

Qualification and competencies: · BEng Industrial Engineering

· Computer literate

Investigating and Solution Driven, Excellent communication, Analytical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From R 19 500,00 per month

Experience: 0-2 years
