The purpose of this new position is to provide engineering and technical support to the operations through development and / or improving technical standard operating procedures, technical development and support to staff, improving plant optimization, and improving both costs and operations.
The successful candidate will also ensure that all products are manufactured with utmost efficiency and quality, according to planned protocols using the appropriate technology.RequirementsDegree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 Years experience in steel / metal productsPreferably, a person who has worked in an Automotive Production EnvironmentReasonable experience in Auto-CAD use, Pneumatics and Hydraulics technology (PLC)Strong working knowledge of Lean-PrinciplesGood organisational and leadership skillsResponsibilitiesOverall plant and machine optimizationDevelop and maintain technical standardsProvide technical training to staffPlant improvements: Costs and OperationsTo utilize the tools of Process Engineering to improve processes within the organization.Project management and schedulingIndustrialisation of new machinery and equipmentProcess improvements based on Value Stream Mapping, Time Studies, Work Sampling, statistical methods and root cause analysis.
Application of lean methodologiesOperational improvement based upon feasibility studies, capacity planning, ergonomics and best practicesDesign of manufacturing processes and facility layoutSupporting relevant departments to achieve company goalsAssisting production with trouble shooting and problem solving related to (Mechanical, quality and process etc.
