Production EngineerSeeking an outstanding Production Engineer who will diagnose problems, train staff, and provide effective recommendations. The incumbent will oversee and develop production systems in the factory. Engineering knowledge, great attention to detail, and the ability to optimise production processes are necessary skills for this role.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage, and oversee productionPlan and manage plant and facilitiesDesign and implement cost-reductive changesDevelop and draught an improved production processMaximise productivity of machinery and workersAssess and analyse current production methodsDetermine which equipment will be used and where they will be stationed in the facilityFollow product specifications and quality control measuresTrain, supervise, and manage production line workersEnsure the production line is adequately staffedIncrease speed and efficiency of processesEnsure all steps of production run efficientlyDevelop and implement quality control measuresEducate employees on proper methods to operate machineryDiagnose breakdowns and troubleshoot problemsHire technicians to maintain equipmentWork within set budgetary plans for the projectFollow all safety rules and regulationsCommunicate with clients and suppliers when necessaryShow moral courage, openness, and honesty in all dealingsDesired Experience & QualificationEngineering Degree or BTEC Professional Level 55+ years' experience in planning and designing processesMembership of an Industry related Professional body would be advantageousDemonstrable experience working within a manufacturing environmentStrong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CADIn depth knowledge and experience of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Lean Manufacturing techniques such as Six SigmaExperience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to productionExperience of managing a teamKPIsImproves product quality and reduces costsImproves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layoutAssures product and process quality by designing quality testing methodsAnalyses and reports on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste managementPeople Management: lead, support, and guide Teams - ensuring smooth workflow with maximum outputRelationship Management: liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers, and other service providersPackage & RemunerationMarket related
