Minimum Requirements Matric or relevant tertiary qualification Previous experience in a supervisory or management role Exposure to a production environment involving sheet metal is essential Understanding of G code programming (CAD/CAM or AP100) will be beneficial Strong technical/operational background Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications Responsibilities Allocate and distribute production tasks to appropriate teams or individuals based on the daily production schedule Ensure that each job is assigned to the relevant personnel with the necessary skills and resources Utilise the MS Planner app to track and update the progress of ongoing production tasks Regularly update the app with real-time information regarding the status of each job to facilitate effective communication across the Production and Planning teams Co-ordinate with the Stores Department to requisition necessary materials and components for production Adhere to specified time slots for collecting materials to maintain a streamlined and organised workflow Implement a visual scanning system to track the progress of jobs on the production floor Allocate materials and components efficiently, ensuring that each job has the required resources for timely completion Conduct final quality control checks on completed production tasks before handover to the next department Ensure that all products meet the specified quality standards and are free from defects Oversee the completion of maintenance logs for production equipment and machinery Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance tasks to prevent disruptions in the production process Manage and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations Implement effective stock control measures to optimise inventory management and reduce production downtime Ensure that: ISO requirements are met and maintained Company and Client's quality standards are complied with Finished goods are checked and found to be correct, complete, and compliant prior to handover to following department Rectify and/or repair of non-conforming product as a priority, and that relevant departments are informed of delays and revised schedules Non-conformance paperwork is raised, actioned, and processed TO APPLY: Only if you do meet the minimum job requirements and experience as mentioned above, you may submit a detailed updated CV.
