The Production Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production process in a manufacturing setting. This position is responsible for coordinating, expediting and supporting production team to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Production Coordinator serves as a liaison between various departments, including production, quality, maintenance, and logistics.
Role:
Production Planning: Assist in creating production schedules, plans, and reports to ensure efficient use of resources and meet production targets.
Communication: Liaise with production team and other departments to ensure effective communication and resolve issues promptly.
Quality Control: Monitor and report on quality control issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain quality records.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track raw materials, and manage supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and supply chain disruptions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production, quality, and maintenance activities.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, suggest and action process improvements.
Skills/Qualifications
Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, BTech will be an added advantage.
At least 2-3 years' experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.
Proven organizational, work planning and time-management skills.
Knowledge of KAIZEN or Lean manufacturing principles.
