Product Processing Line Driver X3
Job Purpose
Operator with defined tasks to run the defined production line.
JNR Line Driver defined to run lines in a specific Production plant only.
SNR Line Driver defined to run lines in all Production plants.
Strive to ensure implementation of DSO culture within the mission critical squad
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for safety on the line and all LOTO instructions and procedures.
Training of new employees on the line
Prepare all shopfloor paperwork for the process orders (SDS, Filling Forms, COA, Packing directives)
Ensure to follow the prescribed work instruction (WI) , SOP and bill of material (BOM) for each recipe
Operates machines or equipment, which involves setting up and making adjustments to regulate such factors as temperature, pressure, flow and reactions of materials.
Operate and control the unit manually/via control system
Run up and shut down of production line, product changeover activities, equipment cleaning and decontamination
Filling operations
Routine analytics, taking of samples
Autonomous maintenance - equipment maintenance/repairs in coordination with the technical team
Solve production disturbances with lean tools on the line before escalation e.g. 5 Why, Fishbone, ect…
Log job cards on shift connector and inform unit lead
Document and communicate work results (shift handover) on Shift connector
Perform partial confirmations on SAP or scan & consume
Record hourly in process quality checks on QM online
OEE recording on the line
Record hourly on the short interval controls boards
Reconcile materials at the end of the process order and process returns to maintain inventory in the PSA
Support troubleshooting of process deviations in cooperation with Production Experts and team
Support one management system activities / Philosophy and best practice roll out on the line
Support Formulation production as required.
Support 3rd Party functional outsourcing with planning, set-up of machines and 4 eye checks, as required
Housekeeping of workplace
Forklift driving or operator automatic pallet jack
Any other function on site as requested by Experts or Unit Leaders
Qualifications and Competencies
Grade 12 or equivalent
5 Years of experience in a chemical manufacturing
Production Management an Advantage
Good Basic Mathematical skills
White / Yellow Belt in LSS
Basic Knowledge of Continues Improvement
Situational Leadership
Good written and verbal communication
SAP experience
Microsoft Office
