Product Owner

Job Description:We are seeking a Product Owner to join our team at Optimum Program. Our goal is to provide software and tools that make the inspection process of marine drilling equipment easier, more efficient, and more reliable.As Product Owner, you will work on a cutting-edge software solution already used by various companies in the marine industry. You will be responsible for defining the product vision and roadmap, and will work closely between the business and the development team. As it's a small team, the ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats, from UX design to writing technical documentation.Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning and implementation of the product roadmap.Draw up wireframes and user flows based on thorough research and understanding of user needs.Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather insights and feedback.Create detailed software specifications to guide the development process.Coordinate the work of the dev team. Grooming and prioritizing the backlog.Manage timelines and resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met.Conduct user acceptance testing and investigate bugs to ensure product quality.Assist with training and write documentation to support product use and maintenance.Collaborate closely with the engineering and business teams to ensure product alignment with business goals.Requirements:Strong time management and organizational skills.Excellent people skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.Self-directed with a high level of initiative and ability to work independently.Ability to create detailed software specifications.Attention to detail in conducting user acceptance testing and bug investigation.Ability to assist with training and write clear, concise documentation.Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey product vision and strategy.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Bonus Skills:Passion for UX design and solving real-world problems.Experience working in Git or version control.Proficiency in Afrikaans, both written and spoken.Experience working in a technical product team.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentApplication Deadline: 2024/06/21
