Product Owner

The client is a fast-growing finance and technology company operating in Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, and Kenya, delivering personal lending products through online, mobile phone, and branch channels. The company is well supported by strong shareholders and a board of directors with vast experience in entrepreneurship and lending.

We are recruiting a new member of the software development team to help build out our world-class software platform. The ideal candidate must be conscientious and have a natural curiosity to learn how things work. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humor would be helpful.

Responsibilities: You will be the product owner for: System implementation of the credit policy, credit scoring, and provisioning Define, prioritize, and deliver changes Be a driving force to ensure timely quality implementations. Get involved wherever required Ensure user adoption is achieved Perform root cause analysis on issues experienced Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, primarily the data and credit teams Requirements: 2+ years of relevant work experience (Product Owner, Business/System Analyst) and/or any other proof of relevant abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning A concern for order, quality, and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work Fast and self-learning abilities Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context About the job: Contract Type: FULL_TIME
