The Product Owner plays a crucial role in the DevOps and Agile development process, acting as the primary link between business stakeholders and the delivery teams.This role is responsible for ensuring that the product or feature roadmap is effectively translated into prioritized user stories, enabling development teams to deliver valuable outcomes aligned with the business's strategic vision.The Product Owner will work in close collaboration with the Scrum teams, Agile Program Managers, and external partners to drive product development, maximize business benefits, and ensure customer-centricity.Key Responsibilities:Stakeholder Representation:Serve as the voice of the customer and represent business stakeholders' interests in guiding the DevOps teams toward delivering value that aligns with the company's strategic goals.Own, prioritize, and manage the team backlog by defining and ranking user stories based on the capability and feature roadmap provided by the Product Manager.Sprint and Agile Functions:Collaborate with the Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Program Manager to ensure the team effectively plans and executes sprint ceremonies such as planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily standups.Vision Communication:Translate high-level product vision into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and tangible business benefits.Ensure that the development team fully understands the customer needs and the value each story delivers.Customer-Centric Development:Prioritize backlog items to maximize value and ensure the products and features address customer needs and business goals.Promote Agile methodologies within the team, ensuring that the Agile values and practices are adhered to throughout the product development lifecycle.Collaboration with Development Teams:Work closely with in-house Scrum teams or offshore development partners, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of high-quality solutions.Actively participate in retrospectives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process and product improvements.Skills & Qualifications:Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments, with a strong understanding of DevOps and continuous delivery practices.Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and sprint planning.Customer Focus: A deep understanding of customer needs, ensuring that product development is aligned with delivering maximum value to end-users.Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, business analysts, and external partners.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business challenges and articulate solutions in user stories.Tools: Proficiency in Agile management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.Certifications: Agile Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) is a plus.Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.Ability to work effectively in both in-house and offshore team environments.
