Purpose of the Job
To develop and implement the sector marketing plans (SMPs) for key growth areas (Eg. Mining, Power, Fleet, Agric, Manufacturing, etc), develop the appropriate product portfolio to service these sectors, perform external market analysis in support of business plan objectives.
Also responsible for the management of all Packaging in accordance with Engen and Governance Brand standards.

What You Have Done Before Baseline:
• NQF Level 7 (Degree in Science/ Marketing or related)
• 8 years' experience in Strategy Development
Advantageous Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Brand Management
• Lubricants/ A&P or FMCG business

What You Will Be Doing MARKETING STRATEGY:
• Develop and implement sector marketing plans for key growth sectors identified in the business plan (Eg Mining, Fleet, Agric, Manufacturing, Power)
• Develop the CVP for each key growth sector
• Manage key interfaces (Sales/Marketing/Technical/etc) to ensure implementation of strategies.
• Drive the growth agenda for the key growth sectors
• Support the development of sales tactical plans based on these strategies.
• Develop the partnership contracts with OEMs & others in collaboration with stakeholders
PRODUCT LINE MANAGEMENT:
• Develop an appropriate product line to meet existing & future customer requirements (incl. care range)
• Manage product line changes (using the Engen PLCM systems) to ensure optimum product portfolio management.
• Plan and manage product launches for new products or existing products into new sectors
• Manage Product phase outs throughout the value chain
• Ensure alignment of corporate and product brand guidelines (Engen, Petronas, OEMs)
• Manage Root Cause Analysis for product or marketing related issues/complaints
• Network with PLI re global product strategies
• Steward the performance of Power Brands and Private Labels
• Manage all product Label requirements – with support from Technical and LOBP Packaging Technologist
PRICING MANAGEMENT:
• Review the Pricing Points and performance of Power & Core product brands as well as private label offerings in response to performance and market requirements.
