This position reports to the Head of Product Your Responsibilities will include: Building the vision and roadmap for the Takealot marketing portfolio with an emphasis on integrating our marketing tech stack with our customer-facing platformWorking with business owners to understand their strategy, requirements, and priorities that can help translate their needs into projects for engineering teamsTaking initiative to identify critical problems and drive solutionsSuggesting ideas to solve customer challenges and validate them in close collaboration with UXEliciting low-level functional requirements and documenting these requirements such that engineering teams can compile detailed technical specifications.Collaborating with technical lead and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needsSetting timelines, drive project schedules, and lead cross-functional development teams from design through to releaseExtracting key insights from data for post-launch impact analysisUnderstanding key technical KPIs to ensure alignment with business KPIsReviewing the test plan and test scripts to ensure quality and coveragePerforming user acceptance testingAttributes Required: Must have a proven track record of execution with the ability to formulate a detailed product roadmapAbility to wear multiple hats to guide junior product managers, business analysts, UX experts, and engineers to deliver world-class productsBe solution-oriented, accountable, highly motivated, and have a robust personalityThe ability to take initiative in ambiguous situations by identifying critical problems and driving solutionsStakeholder management (both communicating and reporting to key stakeholders)Detail-orientated written and verbal communication skillsTechnical understanding of the software development processData-driven decision-making capabilitiesQualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field with at least 5 years of product management experience or exposure (through projects or responsibilities)If the degree/diploma qualification requirement isn't met, at least 8 years of product management experience or exposure (through projects or responsibilities)Understanding of marketing principles, technologies, and tools (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, marketing channel attribution, analytics, marketing adtech, affiliate marketing)Experience in an e-commerce environment or a mobile app-based environment would be an advantage.Knowledge about marketing technology products like Google Analytics, Braze, and AppsFlyer is highly desirable.The Environment: takealot.com employees are entrepreneurial and dynamic, smart, customer-centric, fun, and have the shared ambition of takealot.com being the leading e-commerce company in Africa.We have fun, work hard, take ownership, work in teams to create solutions, and are always open to direct feedback/new ideas on where we can improve.We are short on ego and high on output.We are doers and not only thinkers, it's all in the execution after all.We love what we do and what we are creating.Let's talk about life @ Takealot Group The power is in your hands: We offer a market-related, Total Remuneration Package that allows full flexibility according to your needs.
