Product Manager (Chinese Speaking)Our client, an Electronic company, is currently recruiting a knowledgeable and experienced Chinese speaking Product Manager to join their team in the East Rand (Johannesburg). The successful candidate will work with our client's sourcing team and other key partners in China. The candidate will also collaborate with marketing, sales, and support to ensure the correct advertising, pricing, and selling to the correct channels.Duties & ResponsibilitiesHelping to develop and implement product vision and strategy in alignment with company objectivesGain a deep understanding of customer experience, identifying product gaps and generating ideas to enhance market share and drive growthRegularly meeting with customer-facing teams to gather and analyse user feedback, shaping new product ideas and requirementsCreating buy-in for the product vision internally and externally, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholdersImplement usage tracking and analyse patterns to validate new feature requirements and optimize user experienceDeveloping product pricing and positioning strategies to maximize profitabilityEvaluating promotional plans to ensure alignment with product line strategy and effective messagingTranslating customer needs into product functionalities, working closely with development teamsCollaborating with leadership to plan the product roadmap and prioritize initiativesConverting ideas into prototypes and demonstrate them to key stakeholdersWorking closely with sourcing teams to deliver products with quick time-to-market and optimal resourcesKeeping up with market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threatsActing as an owner for the success of the product, driving initiatives to achieve strategic objectivesOverseeing the development of product modifications relevant to market demands and packaging strategiesLeading market analysis and strategy development, including point-of-sale (POS) strategies and customer-facing marketing initiativesEngaging with factories to ensure product quality, pricing optimization, and profitability growthLeading and managing a team of product developers to execute on the product roadmap and achieve strategic objectivesDesired Experience & Qualification4-5 years of proven work experience in product management or similar roles, preferably with experience in delivering consumer electronics or related productsExperience within the retail space is highly desirableAdvanced level skills in MS Suite with advanced Excel proficiency for data analysisProven track record of managing successful products throughout their lifecycleAbility to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive managementStrong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
