Product Engineer (Team Assembly)

Duties: Lead the Assembly Product Role in a cross-functional engineering team to investigate and resolve product and process deviations. Analyze and close out audit findings by implementing corrective actions to improve Quality, DRR, and reduce reworks in line with Plant KPIs.

Monitor, set, and optimize fitment fixtures and gauges in Assembly, including conducting necessary checks and developing new gauges. Propose product and process changes for series production to improve build/assembly processes and reduce reworks.

Develop and implement controlled reworks for out-of-specification parts or fitment-related issues to ensure stable production and quality until corrective actions are in place. Drive and escalate product and process issues to KPM and FAP Management meetings to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Prepare and present product and process problems with detailed analysis and corrective actions at forums like DKA, FVA, FAP, TOP-Q, SFM, Projects, and Cubing meetings to advise management on achieving quality and production targets.

Qualifications: National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an automotive or engineering environment. Essential Skills: Knowledge of vehicle build and manufacturing processes Problem-solving abilities Computer literacy (MS Office) Communication skills Self-driven, team-oriented mindset Added Advantage: Familiarity with the following systems: KPM, Hyper KVS, Connect, Avon, CAD virtual analysis tools, and vehicle assembly/disassembly experience.
