Product Engineer (Jigs, Fixtures And Metrology)

Our client is seeking to employ a Product Engineer for a +/- 2-year contract for a new Project Launching soon. The ideal candidate will have good experience with vehicle production/assembly with a qualification/experience in Jigs, Fixtures or Metrology. More about:Assisting supporting departments in pre-series buildSupporting launch team with facility functionality, dimensional milestones, Meisterbock acceptance, surface quality improvements, corrosion milestones and supporting series Production and Quality in achieving quality targets (Dimensional targets /Functional/ Stability / BIW audits / Final Vehicle audit/DRR/ Flow-out) Fitment trials, problem detections and resolution.Investigating build / audit related problems (root cause analysis, establishment and implementation of corrective actions).Assisting Process Engineer and CFT leader in designing and implementing new/modified facilities or gauges to improve the building process.Providing feedback in the form of written and visual presentations on corrective actions at Management ReviewsManaging of problem sheets (Raising, follow up and closure of problem sheets)Ensuring Stability of assemblies and coordinating the non-conformities found with relevant parties (Parts, Facilities and Process)Qualifications/Requirements:Extensive knowledge and experience of the Vehicle Building/Production processNational N Diploma/National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/MetrologyToolmaker qualification/Trade (Tool-, Jig-, and Die)3-5 years' experience in Jigs and Fixtures or 3-5 years' experience in Measuring Jigs and FixturesTechnical problem solving of the build and assembly of vehiclesExperience in facility installation and measurementsFamiliar with technical drawingsGood communication skills and report writing, presentations etcBe willing to work overtimeCAD, CATIA, Hyper KVS
