Product Development Scientist

Responsibilities:

Identify and source new raw materials through procurement.
Complete costings and develop customer approval for concept formulations.
Coordinate sourcing, documentation, and testing of new materials.
Conduct trial batches and coordinate with production.
Compile stability testing protocols and submit trial samples to the laboratory for testing.
Evaluate test results and take appropriate action.
Load manufacturing template on MES.
Generate technical reports and transfer information to relevant departments.
Assist in manufacturing initial production batches.
Coordinate innovation projects with third-party manufacturers.
Reformulate existing products based on customer briefs.
Improve manufacturing processes and implement cost-saving projects.
Adhere to GLP and cGMP standards, maintaining lab cleanliness.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures.
Adhere to health and safety policies, staying updated on industry trends.


Essential Qualifications:

BSc Honours, BPharm, B.Eng., or equivalent degree.
Intermediate computer literacy.
Previous development and project management experience.


Desired Qualifications:

MSc degree.
Knowledge of cGMP/ISO/HACCP standards.
Familiarity with stability testing, food and medicine acts, and validation principles.
2 years' experience in product formulation/development.
