About the Role: Our chilled foods site at Carlisle specialises in the development and production of a wide range of ready meals and accompaniments for some of the UK's biggest retailers.
Due to ongoing growth, we now have a new role available within our NPD team, and we're looking for passionate 'foodie' to join us and play a key role in developing and launching new innovative, quality meals.
Reporting to the NPD Controller, some of your key responsibilities will include:
Developing new products, from initial concept and managing the project lifecycle through to final launch. Using your flair for food and knowledge of current trends, ensuring that we and our customers maintain our positions as market leaders. Managing relationships with our key customers, presenting new, inspiring concepts and producing exciting products to drive growth and profit. Working collaboratively with colleagues in commercial, technical, process, and operational teams to ensure products are developed and produced in line with customer specifications. Reviewing current processes, looking for new and improved ways of working. About You: This is a fantastic opportunity for an NPD Technologist or Development Manager to join a leading business offering plenty of opportunities for development and progression.
Experience of working in an NPD role in food manufacturing – we're open on background, but chilled foods would be ideal. Ideally educated to degree level in Food Science or similar, or with equivalent work experience. Experience of working with and presenting to retail customers. Demonstrable knowledge of current food trend and a real passion for development. Innovate approach to food and product development. Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence others to achieve team objectives and develop strong relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
