Reporting to: NPD Manager
Location: City Deep, Johannesburg South
Purpose of the role:An opportunity to develop, maintain and update new product development processes, initiating and continuing new product concepts to key customers as well as help develop innovative meat products by working closely with customers across the globe. Challenges abound in this fast-paced role that offers the opportunity to learn about the product development process from ideation to launch and customer satisfaction.
Key areas of responsibility:Produce lab/kitchen samples of NPD products.NPD Documentation.Contribute towards constant product improvement.Adhere to Product Safety/ Customer guidelines and Compliance.Product Trials Scheduling and Planning.Collect Quality information.Developing/ Updating customer specifications and communicating to relevant departments.Knowledge and experience required:Grade 12.Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Consumer Science Preferable.FMCG Industry experience advantageous.Personal profile: proven knowledge, skills and attitude:Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in teams, with different departments and with customers.Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).Excellent organisational & planning skills.Detail orientated.Proactive in identifying and solving of problems and ability to demonstrate initiative.Ability to schedule daily requirements with maximum efficiency.Driver's license.Willing to travel (mostly nationally)Willingness/able to eat Chicken, Beef, Pork, due to manufacturing requirements.Not allergic to Wheat, gluten, due to manufacturing requirements.Application:Please e-mail your CV to Nikki Geldenhuys at ****** with a motivation highlighting why you should be considered for the position.
