Job DescriptionTo resolve issues being experienced by Traders, systems or operations as efficiently as possible as well as report on profits daily.
Deliver against operational and cost targetsPrioritise resource allocation to minimise and reduce wastageMonitor costs for the financial year according to the operational planAllocate and approve expenditureReview cost reports and resolve or explain variances to the budgetIdentify, control and escalate potential risks that may lead to increased costsManage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficienciesUnderstand the business of the desk to provide commentary on large profit or loss movements on a daily and monthly basisEnsure timely and accurate reporting, analysis, submission and communication or distribution of daily PnLReconcile finance PnL to the risk attributed PnL and front office estimates, and understand and resolve any material differences identifiedProvide daily commentary on PnL movements and variance investigation to front office and finance managementEnsure that internal financial controls over PnL are adhered toLiaise with operations teams to resolve any settlement issuesLiaise with platform support teams to resolve any source system issuesReport relevant PnL and Balance sheet positions and complete the applicable reconciliations, identifying and resolving any issuesProvide advice to the business on the PnL impact of trades and the interaction of the trading and finance systems, especially regarding proposed new tradesEnsure that applicable accounting standards are adhered to regarding PnL reportingProvide PnL data and commentary to the market risk governance team for regulatory reportingIdentify and recommend enhancements to PnL controls and production processesPromote teamwork and inclusivity amongst team members and demonstrate behaviours that respect diversityPartner and collaborate with team members to achieve team successShare information and knowledge that benefits the teamJob DetailsTake note that applications will not be accepted on the below date and onwards, kindly submit applications ahead of the closing date indicated below.
