Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and analytical individual to support the realization of our Business Strategy.
This role involves understanding and clearly communicating product requirements to all relevant stakeholders.
As a key member of a dynamic Product team, you will bridge the gap between actuarial life product requirements and the IT team, ensuring the effective maintenance and development of IT solutions to meet product needs.
Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage and relate to actuarial, retail administration, and finance specialists.
Additionally, strong Business Analysis skills and familiarity with the full product rules value chain are required.
Responsibilities and Work Outputs: Gather and interpret requirements from key stakeholders/customers in line with business analysis and existing product team frameworks.Analyze product and business requirements, validating and translating them into clear and effective requirement specifications for each impacted development area.Document and present requirements and business process specifications in line with best practices and existing product team specification frameworks.Collaborate with project and testing teams to ensure quality delivery of requirements and business process specifications that meet agreed deliverables in line with best practices and business processes.Ensure requirements and business process specifications are reviewed, validated, tested, and approved by relevant stakeholders at each development cycle stage, from concept to end product.Participate in the conceptual solution design process, recommending innovative, duplicable, and sustainable solutions to solve complex business problems.Collaborate closely with all stakeholders and solutions teams from end to end to ensure delivery requirements and expectations remain current and adaptive to the changing environment.Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and guide users to ensure the designed solution meets business requirements.Manage change requests and queries, collaborate with all stakeholders, and facilitate the prioritization of changes to specifications and processes.
Ensure queries and changes are tracked and accurately resolved.Use scenario testing and test cases to ensure testing covers all aspects of the business specification and anticipated processes.Stay updated on relevant legislative, IT, and business trends and practices to optimize service offerings and minimize risk.Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment within your area of responsibility.Contribute to a culture that builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback, and provides exceptional client service.Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards to ensure clients receive appropriate advice and after-sales service.Foster a positive work climate and culture to energize employees, give meaning to work, minimize disruption, and maximize productivity.Encourage innovation, change agility, and collaboration within the team.Identify solutions to enhance cost-effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.Manage financial and other company resources under your control with due respect.Experience and Qualifications: Related Degree3+ years of experience working in a Product Team in Long Term Life Insurance or Re-InsuranceIn-depth knowledge of Life Insurance products and processes, with an emphasis on Product Rules, Premium Rates & Charges, Values Calculations, and Investment Structures5+ years of actuarial specialist experienceExperience/Certification in SQLAdvanced Excel skillsKnowledge of Agile methodology or similarFamiliarity with workflow tools (e.g., AWD)Understanding of testing methodologies and toolsKnowledge of financial/statistical mathematicsCompetencies: Business AcumenResponsiveness to change, encouragement, and support for innovationClient-Centric/FocusedCommitment to diversity and inclusivityStrong listening skillsOpennessResult-oriented.
