Would you like to spend time in one of Australia's most culturally significant areas while exploring the beautiful and dramatic landscapes of Central Australia? We are looking for a talented studio producer to support the Breakfast presenter to set the news agenda and create an energetic, informative and entertaining program that engages local audiences,
This role will see you:
Confidently, produce the ABC Alice Springs Breakfast program, including coordinating guest interviews and daily stories.Engage wisely and intelligently with audiences, on-air, online and on social media.Understand local audiences and use your "news sense" to reach and engage a broad diverse audienceGenerate stories that are relevant to a broad section of Australians and reflect the cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity of the country.Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as requiredCross promote other ABC content to increase audience engagement.About You You will be energetic and driven with an ability to think on your feet with accomplished program making skills and a proven ability to develop original and engaging radio and cross-platform content for target audiences - you will bring with you:
Strong editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with people from a range of diverse backgrounds.Creativity, news sense and the ability to identify stories that will resonate with audiences.Demonstrated ability to use all software and hardware relevant to this role as well as being aware of emerging technologies.We would love to see your work. Please submit material with your application online (include examples, links to websites or attach audio/video files up to 5MB).
