Procurement Specialist Role and Responsibilities
Sourcing, planning, and procurement.
Vendor assessment: Evaluate suppliers through pricing, lead times, and stock on hand.
Conduct supplier evaluation to choose the best performing suppliers for the company.
Material expediting.
Negotiating skills for best prices.
Project management and coordination.
Day-to-day operations of the business.
Identify and eliminate risk.
Forecasting and scheduling workflow and materials.
Budget reviews.
Quantifying materials and consumables.
Ability to work off a plan and order materials accordingly.
Work closely with the property team to understand client specifications and changes, if any.
Work closely with the construction team to coordinate materials, on-site changes, and material deliveries.
Work closely with the finance team to prioritize payments and reconciliations.
Supplier pricing comparison for a 3-quote system.
Must be able to visit different sites and meet various contractors.
Monitor and provide feedback to management on projects and maintenance issues.
Standby on weekends for any maintenance or breakdowns.
Some mechanical knowledge of equipment and tools.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, steel, and aluminum.
Must have knowledge in construction and interior finishes.
Excellent skills in Excel and Office.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: R10,000 - R13,000 per month
