Job Summary:The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement activities related to food items and kitchen equipment/assets for airline operations.
This role involves evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet the airlines standards.
Key Responsibilities:Supplier Evaluation and Approval: Identify, evaluate, and approve vendors and suppliers to ensure they meet the airlines quality and delivery standards.Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices for food items and kitchen equipment.Purchase Order Management: Manage and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.Coordination with Departments: Work closely with various airline departments to understand their supply needs and ensure these are met efficiently.Risk Mitigation: Apply strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of supply.Compliance: Ensure all procurement practices comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.Market Analysis: Analyze market trends to implement effective procurement strategies.Record Maintenance: Maintain detailed records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.Invoice Processing: Review and process invoices for payment, resolving any discrepancies promptly.Cost Savings: Continually seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies within the procurement process.Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the airline or food service industry.Skills: Strong negotiation, financial analysis, and supply chain management skills.
