Procurement Officer - Saldanah

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.Responsibilities:Monitoring maintenance usage of sparesLiaising with suppliers to secure best prices (discounts)Generating purchase orders - according to established reorder levelsUpkeep of data input into maintenance cost ledgerPlacing orders for maintenance spares stock & non-stock itemsFollowing up on spares orders & delivery due datesCommunicating with relevant roll players regarding spares & deliveriesLiaising with Engineering Manager regarding sparesPresenting complete purchase order for approvalOrganization of spares bins and rack locations within the spares storeStock takes of sparesSecurity of spares storeHousekeeping of spares storeCapturing data from daily production down time reportsMaking sure maintenance files are kept up to date & secureManaging redundant spares stockRequirements:Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or similar5 years experience in Buying/Technical BuyingTechnical procurement experience e.g., Tools, sparesExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to build and maintain relationships with suppliersProficient in using procurement software and systemsAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesBenefits:Salary negotiableContact Hire Resolve today for your next career-changing move.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
