Procurement Officer

The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:
Compile and issue RFQ documents. Commercially analyse, evaluate, negotiate and award commercially sound Purchase Orders. Commercially administer the Purchase Orders during the cycle of the Purchase Order. Verification and authorisation for payment of Vendor invoices on a monthly basis. Meet critical and stringent project schedule and budgetary requirements. Effective close outs of Purchase Orders at completion of the works. Ensure that all documentation is at the correct revision. Ensure that all equipment ordered is within budget. Ensure that the quality procedure is adhered to. Timeous distribution of information and documentation to all parties. The ideal candidate must have a Technical or Commercial qualification and have experience in the Mechanical and Piping disciplines.
Relevant Procurement experience of a minimum of 1-3 years in the petro-chemical industry is also required.
The successful candidate must be computer literate and must have SAP (Procurement) experience.
