Procurement Officer

Our client based in Centurion, are dealing with construction and mining industries.
They are looking for a Procurement Officer to join them on a Fixed Terms Contract.
- Negotiate pricing - Send enquiries out and get pricing - Place orders as needed according to urgency - Track order details (e.g.
Suppliers, Quantities, Prices) into internal databases - Review quality of purchased products (Inspect materials) - Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices - Acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses - Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms - Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers Desired Experience & Qualification - Minimum Matric (Grade 12) - Preferably Male -Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
(+- 2 - 5 years) - Knowledge of negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) - Multi-tasking and time-management skills, - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Good knowledge of supplier sourcing practices (Researching, evaluating and liaising with suppliers) - Advanced calculating skills - Sage (evolution) knowledge will be an advantage - Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques - Strategic thinking -Great relationship management Package & Remuneration R15,000 - R18,000 per month Interested?
