The incumbent will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ordering/procuring goods and services essential for the successful implementation of projects and the efficient functioning of the supply chain processes and business.Work closely with managers, project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner, while also adhering to relevant procurement compliance standards. Coordinate and execute contract administration and activities related to the procurement of goods and services.Job Requirements:QualificationsGrade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field is required.CIPS Qualification would be advantageous.Skills and ExperienceMinimum of three (3) years' experience in a procurement position preferably in the renewable energy sector.Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.Proficiency in procurement software/ERP systems and MS Office.Knowledge of local and regional regulations related to renewable energy is a plus.Advanced computer literacy.Job Responsibilities:Procurement Planning and ExecutionTrack and accurately report procurement expenditures against budget allocations. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in procurement spending.Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish vendor relationships based on quality, cost, and delivery time.Analyse cost estimates, category spend, and budgets to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization.Identify appropriate sourcing methods for various categories to support business objectives.Procurement AdministrationCollaborate with internal stakeholders, i.e. finance and project teams to determine supply requirements, create purchase requisitions, and handle procurement processes.Timeously prepare and issue authorised purchase orders and other procurement documents. Turn all purchase order requests into orders within 72 hours.Prepare and maintain purchase records and reports. Expedite POs.Ensure POs are valid and are closed within a reasonable time not exceeding three months.Assist with all vendor management activities i.e. suppliers, service providers & installer onboarding, credit applications, etc.Assist with contract administration and activities related to the procurement of goods and services.Maintain accurate and active records of procurement activities, including supplier information, contracts, purchase orders, and inventory levels at a central point.Supplier and Stakeholder ManagementNegotiate and build supplier relationships, providing alternative solutions when needed.Identify and evaluate existing and potential suppliers and identify preferred suppliers based on specific criteria.Maintain adequate supplier database sourcing per commodity and reduce reliance on a single vendor.Coordinate and maintain relationships with the current portfolio of suppliers, ensure due diligence and foster long-term vendor relationships.Conduct supplier/vendor performance evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed.Monitor supplier performance, conduct periodic evaluations, and address any issues or concerns.Review and renegotiate contracts with suppliers, assess existing contract feasibility, and conduct risk assessments for potential contracts.Implement KPIs with suppliers i.e. OTIF, Accuracy of Invoice, Reduce Credit Note, and Quality of supplies.BBBEE ManagementAssist with ensuring that Skyworth obtains a high BBBEE score for the procurement element.Coordinate the collation and administration of BBBEE documents.Prioritise suppliers with a high BBBEE score when sourcing without compromising on quality.Compliance with Company Policies and ProceduresMaintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the procurement process and suggest mitigation processes.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, with a passion for sustainable and clean energy solutions. Ability to work independently as well as part of cross-functional teams. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with attention to detail. Solid knowledge of SCM principles and concepts. Ability to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and acceptable practices.
