We are currently partnering with a leading food manufacturing company that is seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team.
As a Procurement Officer in the food manufacturing industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of materials and supplies needed for production.
You will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Your expertise in procurement processes and knowledge of the food manufacturing industry will contribute to the success of our client's business.
Responsibilities Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies needed for production.
Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast future demand to maintain optimal stock levels.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with production plans and specifications.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
