Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with specialized knowledge in the vitamins and nutrition sector. This role involves leading the procurement of high-quality ingredients and materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will drive cost-effective procurement strategies, maintain a consistent supply of quality products, and stay abreast of market trends to support our product development and manufacturing needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies for vitamins, supplements, and nutritional ingredients to meet business goals and product requirements.Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of vitamins, nutritional supplements, and industry trends to inform procurement decisions.Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure all materials meet strict industry and regulatory standards.Cost Control: Implement cost-saving initiatives while balancing quality and supply needs.Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, coordinate reorders, and forecast demand to prevent shortages.Market Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of market conditions and pricing trends in the vitamins and nutrition industry to inform purchasing decisions.Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant industry standards, health regulations, and company policies.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Nutrition, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a procurement role, with at least 2 years in the vitamins and nutrition industry.Skills:Strong negotiation and contract management skills.In-depth knowledge of vitamins, nutritional supplements, and ingredient sourcing.Proficiency in procurement software and systems.Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.Other: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.
