Procurement Manager

Purpose of the Role:
Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met,
considering price, quality and delivery time to ensure continuity of supply and adherence to projected project timelines. Key Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and select vendors that meet the company's quality, price, and delivery requirements. Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
Review and analyse purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders.
Resolve price, quality, delivery & invoice discrepancies with vendors/ suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Prepare reports on purchase activity and supplier performance.
Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements. Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships. Personal Attributes:

Qualifications and Experience Levels:
5+ years of experience in purchasing, buying, and/or planning preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets.
Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff,
stakeholders and suppliers
