Procurement Manager Ekurhuleni (East Rand)

Our client is a leading mechanical consumable supplier to the industrial sector. They are looking for a Procurement & Planning Manager who will be responsible for ensuring all materials are planned for and procured on time.Key Responsibilities:Review and maintain planning processes and policies.Drive the SIOP process with Product, Sales, and Finance teams, effectively influencing key stakeholders to align with business objectives (working capital and cashflow).Responsible for statistical forecasts based on market intelligence and insights on future drivers of demand.Collaborate with international suppliers and internal customers.Perform root cause analysis on challenges, risks, and failures by leading solution findings to drive gap closing actions on demand and supply imbalances (buy-outs, lost sales, poor forecast accuracies, supplier poor performance, customer complaints, import delays, freight charges, lead time fluctuations, demand variability, etc.).Manage product transitions of new and phasing out SKUs.Actively manage supplier performance based on quality of product, service, accurate supply, supply continuity, and delays.Communicate effectively on potential supply changes to the rest of the business and recommend solutions without compromising on quality and optimizing cost.Develop & drive strategies to reduce costs & risks by streamlining processes and driving planning excellence through people.Minimum Requirements:Tertiary degree in Procurement/Supply Chain.8-10 years' experience in a similar role with responsibilities in procurement, demand & supply planning.Min 6 years working experience in a complex business environment (industrial, mechanical, electrical).Strong on inventory management.SAGE X3/Syspro experience is a strong advantage.R1 mil CTC - R1.2 mil CTC (Depending on experience).
