My client is currently looking for a Procurement Lead. This is a 2 year fixed contract.
Key Performance Areas Lead tender process from start to endNegotiate contracts and approve prices, delivery and payment terms and quality requirements to meet standards.Drive contract management activities and contract compliancePrepare notices and other correspondence for signature by the Project Manager in accordance with the requirements of the contracts.Finalise status of all contracts including outstanding claimsExpediting equipment delivery in accordance with approved project schedule and issuing of expediting reports.Ensure that all logistics and customs functions are performed in accordance with geographic requirements.Engage and liaise with the appointed Clearing and Forwarding company.Facilitate the coordination of international shippers and local shipping companies for smooth transportation of imports and exports.Oversee and coordinate supply chain transport truck for pickup and delivery of material.Ensure proper filing for all imports and exports documentation for tax revenue authority audits.Apply understanding of the customs bonded process, as well as road regulation to ensure that all customs and logistics functions comply with requirements.Promote and adhere to company procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).Job Requirement Relevant Tertiary Qualification (degree/diploma in Supply Chain/Commerce/B Com/Engineering/BSc)MCIPS advantageous3+ years Procurement/Purchasing/Tendering/Contract Management experienceStrong technical knowledge and understanding of Procurement processes and Supply Chain managementAbility to engage/manage/partner with stakeholders at all levelsGood business analysis skills to generate business insight, add measurable value.Attention to detail.Strong procurement and negotiating skills.Goal-orientated and committed to delivering quality outputs.Salary: Market related.
