Procurement Coordinator

Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required:Relevant degree or Supply Chain Diploma (e.g., SAPICS) is advantageous.Minimum 3 years' experience in an FMCG environment or a similar position.Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.Experience with software packages such as Sage Evolution, SAP, Syspro, or similar.Experience with purchasing/buying negotiation.Behavioral Dimensions:Strong written and verbal communication skills with vendors, customers, and coworkers.Critical thinker with strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to multi-task and handle pressure effectively.Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.Financial acumen.Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Key Performance Areas:Review production plans and prepare forecasts for material required in production.Source and procure products in sufficient quantity and quality to ensure availability in accordance with the production schedule.Coordinate the purchasing function collaboratively with sales & marketing, production, warehousing, and production planning.Maintain and develop good relationships with vendors.Source, evaluate, and recommend new suppliers and materials that help generate cost savings or reduce usage without compromising quality.Fulfill contract manufacturing commitments by managing purchases within agreed contract parameters.Generate, adjust, and expedite purchase orders to align inventory levels with production schedule requirements.
