Procurement Coordinator

OverviewOur client in the dairy industry is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join their team.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for purchasing processes, and supplier management, while ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement in line with the company policies.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12/MatricPost matric qualification in Finance/ Commerce/ Supply-Chain or relevant5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or similar role in manufacturingFamiliar with ERP softwareProficient in MS OfficeJob ResponsibilitiesPrepare, raise, and monitor purchase orders to support operational needs.Assist in obtaining quotations, evaluating supplier options, and securing approvals following the Procurement Policy.Collaborate with suppliers to clarify details, manage timelines, and address queries.Support tender process to compile and update preferred supplier lists for various products and services.Ensure timely follow-up on invoices and manage purchase order closures.Handle supplier and internal queries, working to resolve issues efficiently.Provide admin support, maintain procurement records, and assist in generating reports as requiredKey Competencies / SkillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAttention to detailExcellent communication skillsSelf-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a teamComfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
