RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Procurement Clerk to join our client, a well-established company in Cape Town.
The Procurement Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement team by managing purchasing processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services.
Responsibilities Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet company needs Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, and other procurement data Support the procurement team in evaluating supplier performance and negotiating contracts Coordinate with various departments to identify procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery Communicate with suppliers to manage orders and resolve any issues Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management and forecasting Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies Assist in preparing reports on procurement activities and expenditures Requirements Proven experience as a Procurement Clerk or in a similar role Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Tertiary qualification in procurement, business administration, or a related field is an advantage Benefits Salary: negotiable RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
