LOCATION SALARY R1 100 000 per annum
SUMMARY Join a leading force in the multinational supplier of fresh fruit and related processed products seek a Procurement and Logistics Manager responsible for managing all nonfruit related procurement (Fertilizer, Transport, Packing Material, Ingredients etc.) for Green Harvest Produce to ensure the lowest cost, at the correct quality while maintaining reliable supply. Manage all logistical activities, including warehousing, storage, transport, and distribution, from the sites to the distribution centres.
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for managing all nonfruit related procurement (Fertilizer, Transport, Packing Material, Ingredients etc.)Ensure lowest cost, at the correct quality while maintaining reliable supply.Manage all logistical activities inclusive of Warehousing, storage, transport, and distribution from sites to distribution centresMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS BSc / MSc Agric, BCom (e.g. International Trade)Degree in Supply Chain/ProcurementCommerce / Business / Engineering / Science5 to 8 years of Supply Chain experience with 3 years at a senior management level with responsibility for direct reportsExperience in identifying cost savings and driving down costs with a track record ofTotal cost savings.Experience in managing food and packaging and/or fertilizer categories.Experience in project management.Experience in managing contract manufacturers.Experience in managing warehousing (raw material and finished goods)Experience in optimizing and managing logistics Join a leading force in the multinational supplier of fresh fruit and related processed products seeks a General Manager to develop, implement and manage a sustainable business strategy to channel fresh subtropical fruit into export and local markets.
