Role summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement & Logistics Manager with a strong background in international logistics, particularly in overseeing operations between China, South Africa, the USA, Canada, the UK, Spain, and Central Europe. This role requires an individual with a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field and a comprehensive understanding of global customs documentation and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing the procurement and logistics processes, ensuring smooth operations across multiple regions, and maintaining cost efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and streamline procurement and logistics processes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods across all regions.
Oversee transport and delivery management for warehouses in CPT, EU, ATL, and Canada.
Track and manage global shipping costs, negotiating with carriers to optimize expenses.
Identify and implement efficient transportation routes to minimize costs while maintaining delivery timelines and quality.
Ensure compliance with international and local regulations for logistics and shipping across all operational regions.
Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and submission of shipping and customs documents to facilitate smooth border crossings.
Maintain an up-to-date repository of customs documentation requirements for all regions.
Address and resolve logistical problems or delays affecting global operations, escalating issues when necessary.
Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks within the global supply chain to improve overall efficiency.
Compile and analyze data from all warehouses, providing reports on KPIs such as delivery times, accuracy, and costs.
Present performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to design and implement effective logistics strategies across diverse regions.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex logistical challenges.
Attention to Detail: Ensure compliance with all documentation and regulations while maintaining accuracy.
Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating with carriers and suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams and regions.
Adaptability: Ability to manage dynamic and fast-paced logistics environments effectively.

RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in international logistics and supply chain management.
In-depth knowledge of customs clearance processes and documentation for international trade.
Proficiency in managing logistics across regions, including China, the USA, Canada, the UK, and Europe.
Proven experience with global compliance standards and regulations.
Advanced proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
Advantageous:
Professional certifications in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, APICS, CSCP).
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Fluency in additional languages relevant to operational regions.
