The Southern Africa & Islands (SAI) Procurement team in Cape Town, South Africa, is seeking a skilled Procurement Analyst to support our Transported by Maersk and Fulfilled by Maersk product lines. We aim to foster an ethical business environment where accountability, teamwork, and transparency thrive.Key Responsibilities:Day to Day Procurement Activities: Manage day-to-day procurement activities including market engagement, supplier market analysis, and organizing market intelligence.Go-to-market execution and analysis: Evaluate supplier responses to sourcing events, including quantitative analysis of costs, and present comparative results. Negotiate using market intelligence to guide the procurement management team on best scenarios.Procurement Category Strategy: Provide analytical insights in the development of category strategies and execute sourcing events to reduce total costs while ensuring value for money and high levels of service and compliance with Procurement Policies.Sourcing Strategy: Use the existing Transport Management System (TMS) dashboards to report on alignment and deviations to the sourcing strategy.Customer Tenders: Support Product and Sales with the required input to submit customer tenders timely.Contract Management: Integrate Contract Management frameworks to ensure cost leadership, compliance, and best-in-class supplier performance.Global Processes & Teams: Utilize global procurement processes and tools, global category management teams.Implementation Partner: Support the procurement management team to implement continuous improvement activities through data intelligence and best practices.TMS (Transport Management System): Facilitate feedback on sourced vs. executed items in the system, track adherence to procurement endorsed rates, and support in tracking savings post contract commencement.
