Process Safety Engineer Chem/Petro/Oil & Gas ~ ManufacturingPietermaritzburg - Kwa Zulu Natal - South AfricaYou will be responsible for managing all aspects of process engineering, process safety management, and assigned capex projects within the manufacturing facility.This role ensures compliance with statutory, legal, and corporate standards while meeting both corporate and customer production requirements.You should hold a BSc in Chemical Engineering and have 5 to 10 years of process safety experience, ideally in a batch-processing chemical manufacturing environment.You must demonstrate a strong understanding of system safety, hazard identification, and risk analysis, and possess risk assessment and problem-solving skills.The role also requires advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, DCS configuration, related chemistries, and project management.Responsibilities include maintaining and improving process engineering and safety performance, managing capex projects, implementing process safety strategies, and supporting group-level safety initiatives.You will be resourceful, assertive, and capable of decision-making under pressure, with strong leadership, business acumen, and communication skills.This challenging role offers excellent growth opportunities for the right individual.Apply for this Job
