JOB SUMMARYOur client is looking for a Process Improvement Planner to play a pivotal role in enhancing supply chain planning reliability. The position involves analyzing root causes of supply chain challenges, managing change impacts, and driving continuous process improvements. This role is critical to ensuring seamless materials availability and optimizing planning processes for operational success.ABOUT OUR CLIENTOur Client is a prominent player in the Marine Industry based in Cape Town, South Africa, specialising in the design and manufacture of sailing and power catamarans. Renowned for their performance, durability, and seaworthiness, the Client's vessels are highly sought after by both private owners and charter companies.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTIn order to be shortlisted for the vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:Minimum Qualification: Post Matric courses in Planning, Supply Chain, IT Information Technology, preferably Industrial engineering.Ideal Qualification: Degree/diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain /Industrial engineering / Lean /Six Sigma /continuous improvement qualification.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience with SysPro or similar ERP system.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Root Cause Analysis and Issue Resolution:Identify and address root causes of material supply issues, excess stock, and other ad hoc problems to enhance planning reliability.Change Management:Manage and implement changes in the planning processes, especially during new model introductions, run-in/run-out scenarios, and high-value order reviews.Planning Documentation and Process Improvement:Develop, document, and maintain planning tools, controls, and architecture to support current and future planning needs.Reporting and Coordination:Create and manage reports, consolidate feedback, and facilitate communication between materials planning and other departments to drive project outcomes.General Administration:Maintain structured documentation, update SOPs, and provide administrative support for various planning initiatives and problem-solving activities.Please be advised that only shortlisted candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role will be contacted for an interview by one of our consultants.
