Job Description Siqalo Foods is looking for a dedicated Process Engineering Manager to lead and drive initiatives to enhance factory processes, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing. This role requires a proactive leader who can implement best practices in process design and control, continuously improve efficiency, and uphold Siqalo Foods' quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities Process Improvement and Design Design and develop manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs. Standardize existing processes to optimize equipment and team performance, supporting consistent and predictable operations. Champion problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis, to minimize process variability and waste. Process Control Management Develop and maintain robust process control systems, aligning with product specifications and regulatory standards. Use tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess and optimize process control effectiveness. Sustainability and Efficiency Initiatives Lead efforts to integrate environmental and sustainability goals into manufacturing practices, focusing on energy and water efficiency. Analyze and report on sustainability impacts of projects, ensuring alignment with Siqalo Foods' sustainability strategy. Innovation and Best-in-Class Projects Oversee manufacturing's role in innovation projects, resource allocation, and alignment with R&D and brand teams. Lead best-in-class initiatives by defining performance standards, exploring new approaches, and reporting progress and savings to the executive team. Team Leadership and Development Manage and mentor a team of Process Engineers and Technicians, promoting a collaborative environment with a focus on continuous improvement. Support the training and development of team members, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing. Health,Safety and Compliance Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations within process engineering. Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring all activities are compliant with company standards. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (postgraduate qualification advantageous). Lean Management or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role. Strong technical skills in process engineering with experience in statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making. Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
