The above vacancy exists at our On-Sites: CO2 Midland Operations Department, Midlands, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Suitably qualified candidates who meet the requirements of this role are invited to apply for this vacancy.Overview & Key ResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for the operations and safe functioning of the CO2 Plant. Responsibilities include active participation in Safety Management programs, including the BSP, as well as overseeing the loading and testing of Bulk CO2 Tankers.The key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:Operate the CO2 Plant in accordance with established Procedures, Work Instructions, and Policies to ensure uninterrupted production while adhering to the company's safety and quality standards.Oversee daily operations, including managing plant trips and facilitating plant start-ups (boxing in and out of the plant).Conduct general inspections of the plant to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.Reporting: Compile and submit shift reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Emergency Coordination: Handle and coordinate emergencies in line with established emergency procedures.Permit Issuance: Issue Safety Work Permits, Confined Space Permits, and other necessary documentation.Housekeeping Maintenance: Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained throughout the plant.Safety Program Participation: Actively participate in the safety program within the CO2 Plant to uphold and enhance the Safety Management System and all company safety standards.Essential RequirementsA minimum of Matric with Maths & Science;Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Operational within a relevant industry;Basic electrical, mechanical and process understanding;Ability to perform strenuous work;Excellent Verbal, writing and communication skills;Able and willing to work within a shift system and overtime when or if required;Able to work independently with minimal supervision, while consistently meeting deadlines;Must possess a working cell phone or contact number for effective communication;Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must have valid Driver's license;Be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
