Aon South Africa is hiring a Private Broker, this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Port Elizabeth office.
The role of a private broker is to manage, oversee, grow and administer a portfolio of high-net-worth clients in line with the MOS and servicing and growth strategies.

What the day will look like Responsible for portfolio of client accounts. Developing and leading and enhancing the day-to-day relationship with clients. Manages and co-ordinates all activities related to the portfolio of clients. Building and updating a 'client profile' of risk and needs analysis per client. Responsible for all renewal activities, including preparation of renewal documents, renewal notifications, renewal meetings with clients as well as cancellation letters. Responsibility for and ownership of tasks and problems relating to clients. Providing professional and accurate advice to clients, including information in respect of cover, exclusions, underwriting requirements and terms and conditions. Generating referrals from clients through excellent service, accurate advice and knowledge of insurance. Liaises and develops relationships with colleagues across the business and other key role players in High-Net-Worth environment. Improve cross sell opportunities at all times. Negotiates cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients. Arranges Quantum valuations and review sums insured on receipt. Processing all policy documentation on relevant systems, including the loading of new policies and endorsements. Responsible for premium collection within the prescribed period. Responsible for handling client accounting queries and processes refund requisitions. Liaison with claims division, assists clients with the first notification of loss. Responsible for maintaining an e-mail calendar. Responsible for generating own correspondence. Adhering to minimum Quality and Service Standards laid down by the Division. Remains informed of market trends within the insurance industry and maintains awareness of competitor products/ offerings. Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability. Responsible for compliant dealings with clients. Contributes into the development of new business with either existing or new clients. Coordinates teams with Client Service Consultants (where applicable) to ensure client service standards are met. Responsible for general administrative and ad hoc duties that may be requested from management from time to time. Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in Aon South Africa. Skills and experience that will lead to success Qualifications Grade 12 (matric). A Bachelor's degree is preferable. Registration as a Representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act. Registration as an associate with the IISA. Knowledge Computer literacy with sophisticated experience in MS Word and Excel. A well-developed working knowledge of relevant product offerings in the short-term insurance industry. Know-how in respect of compliance and quality control in the insurance environment. An excellent functional knowledge of policy wordings. Knowledge enabling the incumbent of expertly articulate Aon's proposition. Skills and Attributes Well-developed analytical and technical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Experience Have a minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience with Personal Lines Insurance. Have significant experience in short-term insurance industry. Have extensive experience with High-Net-Worth clients in the short-term insurance industry. How we support our colleagues
