Principal Data Consultant Responsibilities General: Fluent representation of various specialisms within data services with credibility. Offer 10+ years of experience in Data. Provide servant leadership as a low ego enabler, recognizing that success is defined by the success of others. Has a clear point of view on the most effective ways to work with customers to solve their data-related problems. Collaborate with client principals and engagement managers on new data-centric opportunities. Be a compelling storyteller, sharing experiences and examples where we have added significant value in Data Engineering. Effectively manage work priorities and kindly say 'no' when necessary, aligning with team priorities. Be a proficient facilitator comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty in the data landscape, using a range of techniques and tools. Lead time-limited billable work, such as data discovery and health check engagements. Proactively solve data-related problems and be willing to acknowledge uncertainty when exploring uncharted territories. Quickly build rapport with new people, putting them at ease, and actively listening to their data challenges. Exhibit strong communication skills, adapting methods for different stakeholders and contexts in the data domain. Contribute to a range of data-related activities, demonstrating a self-sufficient and proactive attitude. Build credibility with customers through meaningful conversations centered around data solutions. Engagement Sales: Advise engagement managers and anchors on creating attractive offers for data engineering services. Work with engagements to identify key data engagement stakeholders and invest time in building relationships. Engagement Delivery Advice: Advise data engineering teams on solving problems and delivering outcomes. Shape opportunities with customers and align on the best data engineering approach. Help a data engineering team understand how to be more effective and bring meaningful data-related changes to an engagement. Connect a data engineering team with relevant expertise across the Equal Experts network. Thought Leadership: Research real-world data problems with customers and engagement teams and understand how to provide value. Build a personal network of data consultants who can contribute to thought leadership. Collaborate with the marketing team to curate experience-led advice in the data engineering domain that sparks new conversations. Data Relationship Building: Spend time with customers and engagement teams to hear their data-related stories. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in data engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering. Proven success in sales support, engagement sales, and thought leadership within the data domain. Strong communication and facilitation skills, specifically tailored for data-centric discussions.
