Principal Civil Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead their team in the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the field of civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on municipal services.What you will do:Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians in the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects, including water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and road infrastructure.Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.Oversee the procurement process for materials and services.Administer contracts and manage project budgets.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Provide technical support to clients and stakeholders.Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and outcomes.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.Professional registration as a Civil Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).Minimum of 15 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects.Strong leadership and management skills.A recruitment consultant will be in touch within 3 days if you are a suitable candidate.
