We seek to employ a dynamic and experienced teacher who, with a passion for reading and innovative libraries, will run the Primary School library and teach and inspire our girls in this beautiful learning space. A willingness to get involved in teaching other subjects and activities outside of the classroom would be an added advantage.
The following will be regarded as a given: Education qualification from a recognised institutionHave at least three years of Primary School teaching experienceKnowledge of Thinking school strategies and practice would be an advantageProficiency in Library ManagementHave strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a teamHave sound administrative and organisational skills and knowledge of the IEB curriculumBe able to fulfil the role of a subject teacherMust be proficient in the English language, both written and spokenMust have sound computer literacy with skills in Google Classroom and be able to integrate IT into the teaching programme using iPadsMust commit to transformation, and our objective to create a safe and inclusive environment.Possess an active SACE certificate.All staff are required to have a Sexual clearance certificate, Criminal clearance certificate and Child Protection Register clearance certificate.The successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to embracing Durban Girls' College's core values and guiding principles.
