Job Title: Pricing AnalystLocation: Cape TownHybrid working: 2 days per week in the officeDepartment: A&H UnderwritingReporting to: Head of Underwriting and PricingCompany Overview:Collinson is a global, privately-owned company dedicated to enhancing travel experiences and providing market-leading airport experiences, loyalty solutions, and insurance products for over 400 million consumers worldwide.Purpose of the Job:Reporting to the Head of Pricing & Underwriting (Accident & Health), the Pricing Analyst will coordinate pricing activities for our International Health and Dental insurance portfolios.Key Responsibilities:Develop and refine pricing models to optimise business decision-making and client outcomes.Utilise advanced data manipulation tools to enhance data efficiency and reporting capabilities.Lead annual renewal pricing and product reviews, leveraging scheme data to drive performance improvements.Conduct comprehensive product and rate reviews, adapting benefits and pricing strategies as necessary.Monitor and analyse sales and underwriting performance, applying market research to drive best practices.Implement community and experience-rated pricing strategies, identifying trends and opportunities within data.Collaborate with the reserving team to ensure accurate IBNR and reserve calculations.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:Deep technical pricing expertise in the Global Health market.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical pricing and modeling.Experience with earning patterns, chain ladders, and P&L analysis.Proven track record in pricing new and renewing portfolios across multiple geographic regions.Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations effectively.Personal Attributes:Results-oriented with strong influencing skills across various organisational levels.Creative thinker with a keen commercial sense and understanding of customer journeys.Passion for Health & Dental markets and adept at building relationships both internally and externally.Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences.Effective planner with strong coordination abilities for executing pricing projects.Qualifications and Skills:Consumer lines (Health products preferred) Insurance experience.Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with SQL/SAS/Tableau/Power BI advantageous.Awareness of insurance regulations and progression towards Data Analyst/Actuarial qualifications desirable.Additional Details:This role offers an opportunity to shape Collinson's insurance strategy within a dynamic global industry.
